Bone Marrow Stromal Cells and Laser Activated Platelet Lysate Therapy

  • Bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) are a group of cells in bone marrow that function as stem cells to create bone, cartilage, and other tissues.
  • BMSCs can differentiate into multiple cell types including osteocytes (bone cells), chondrocytes (cartilage cells), adipocytes (fat cells), and fibroblasts (connective tissue cells), making them versatile for tissue repair especially for orthopedic use.
  • Bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) can also differentiate into nucleus pulposus cells and promote healing of spinal disc.

BMSCs can promote healing of articular cartilage and spinal disc.

  • CytoRegenx platelet lysate (PL) is a lysate made of concentrated platelets after removing plasma and other blood cells.
  • PL contains various growth factors that can stimulate tissue regeneration and healing in the treated area. PL can also reduce inflammation and pain at the site of injection.
  • Low Level Laser (LLL) activation of platelets enhances the production and release of growth factors and ATP in platelet lysate.
  • Laser activated PL (LAPL) has direct regenerative effects at the site of administration. It also has synergistic therapeutic effects with BMSCs.

Laser Activation Stimulates Secretion Of Cytokines And ATP From Platelets.
